» Sariska General Information
Sariska is situated in the state of Rajasthan. Sariska is basically famous for 'Sariska National Park'. this park is near to Jaipur. Its located among the Aravali hills ranges in the Alwar district of the Rajasthan Sariska was declared as a sanctuary in the year 1955. This sanctuary came under the project Tiger in 1979 and became a National park in 1982. It is located at Kankwari fort, near Alwar. It has a total area of 788 sq kms with a core area of approximately 47 kms. At last count in 1985 35 tigers were found there.
 
» Sariska Sightseeing
Sariska Palace: This beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 19th century. This palace was originally a royal hunting lodge. Now its converted in to a hotel, a palace hotel with all the facilities to make the guest feel like a Maharaja.

Jai Samand Lake: This beautiful lake was also constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 19th century. Its a popular spot for outings and picnic. During monsoon sprawling greenery all around makes it a visual treat.

Vijai Mandir Palace: A picturesque lake built by Maharaja Jai singh in 1918. this beautiful lake overlooking the palaces makes it a fascinating sight.

Sariska National Park: Established in 1955 its an excellent Tiger sanctuary under the project tiger. the terrain is predominantly hilly as its lies in the Aravali hills. The dry decidous forests of the Reserve are noted for their population of tiger, nilgai, sambhar, cheetal, four horned antelope and wild boar.

 
» Sariska Excursion
Deeg: Deeg located at a distance of few kms from Sariska. Deeg famous for its palaces and gardens. it was built by Maharaja Suraj Mal in the 18th century. Deeg is presently known as an agricultural town which used to be a second capital of Bharatpur state.

Alwar : Alwar is located at a distance of about 36 kms from Sariska. Rao pratap Singhji founded in 1771. Alwar is known as city with history. It has many notable monuments, the hilltop fort, many temples and tanks.more about Alwar...

Siliserh Lake : Siliserh lake just located near the Sariska Tiger reserve. Its a wonderful picturesque lake. the lake overlooks a marvellous palace built by Maharaja Vinay Singh in 1845 for his queen Shila. this lake make an ideal picnic spot, the hides that provides real life opportunity to play hide and seek with the wild.
